Michael J. Gasser

Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors
Joined the company in 1979 as internal auditor. Named controller in 1981, vice president of finance in 1988, member of the board of directors in 1991, vice chairman and chief operating officer in 1994, and chairman and CEO in 1994. Became executive chairman in 2011. Was graduated from Ohio Northern University with a Bachelor of Arts degree and is a certified public accountant.

David B. Fischer

President and Chief Executive Officer

Joined Greif in 2004 as senior vice president and divisional president, Industrial Packaging & Services - Americas. Later assumed responsibility for IP&S operations in Asia, Australia and Africa. Named CEO in 2011. Prior to Greif, was business vice president for the Polyurethanes business at Dow. Earned a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University where he studied chemistry and physics.

Robert M. McNutt

Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Joined Greif in 2011. Since 2008, senior vice president and chief financial officer of Boise Inc. Began his career as auditor for Boise Cascade Corporation, later worked in Treasury, International Business Development and Building Products. Named vice president, Investor Relations & Public Policy for Boise Cascade LLC in 2005. Earned an MBA in Accounting and a bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from Washington State University.

Karen P. Lane

Senior Vice President, People Services and Talent Development

Joined the company in February 2007. She was previously president of Lane Leadership Group and has an extensive background in career consulting and human resources that spans 30 years. Holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Elon University and attended graduate school at the University of North Carolina.

Gary R. Martz

Executive Vice President and General Counsel; President, Soterra

Joined the company in 2002 as senior vice president and general counsel. Named president of Greif's timber subsidiary in 2005. Promoted to Executive Vice President in 2010. Prior experience includes 19 years with the law firm of Baker & Hostetler, LLP in Cleveland, Ohio, 12 years as a partner. Received his juris doctor degree from The Ohio State University College of Law and his undergraduate degree from the University of Toledo (Ohio).
