The Greif Flexibles Products and Services (FPS) operations in Turkey recently earned the ISO 27001 certification, which confirms that its information security management system (ISMS) meets international best practices. Greif Flexibles Turkey is committed to keeping its information assets (including the information of its customers) secure and achieving the certification helps support this commitment. The certification also shows the significant efforts made by FPS Turkey towards compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in Europe.

“This certification recognizes our ability to identify, manage and reduce risks in our information management systems,” says Çağla Aksoy, Compliance and Quality Assurance Manager. “ISO 27001 helps organizations keep information secure and manage the security of assets such as financial information, intellectual property, employee details and information provided from third parties.”

In addition to the newly obtained ISO 27001 certification all FPS Turkey plants:

• Operate a Quality Management System which complies with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 and are certified.

• Operate a Product Safety Management System which complies with BRC IoP Global Standard for Packaging and Packaging Materials Issue5 and certified as Grade AA.

• Operate an Environmental Management System which complies with the requirements of ISO 14001:2015; Sultanbeyli plant is certified.

Greif FPS Turkey has three fully integrated 4-Loop FIBC production plants located in Istanbul producing nearly 6.5 million big bags each year.  These plants are capable of producing a wide range of bags such as electrostatic FIBCs (Type B, C &D), food-grade, pharma-grade, IFT, baffle and UN bags.
