On May 25, 2025, the team at Greif’s Bogotá plant carried out a meaningful social and environmental initiative in the municipality of Choachí, Cundinamarca. The goal was to bring together employees, their families, and the local community in a volunteer-driven activity focused on environmental awareness. The event included an ecological walk followed by the planting of 120 trees, featuring native species such as cedar and mano de oso, which play a key role in preserving the region’s biodiversity. Over 100 people took part, including employees from the Bogotá plant, their families, and local residents—strengthening the bond between the company and the surrounding community.
The purpose of this initiative was to raise awareness among our employees and their families about the importance of caring for the environment, emphasizing each individual’s role in building a more sustainable future. The enthusiasm and engagement shown during the activity reflected a shared commitment to protecting natural resources and promoting responsible everyday practices.
