Greif Expands Manufacturing Presence in Spain with Acquisition of Envaplast

DELAWARE, Ohio — Greif, Inc. (NYSE: GEF), a global leader in industrial packaging products and services, today announced it has completed the acquisition of Envaplast, a leading manufacturer of premium small polymer containers based near Valencia, Spain.

The acquisition strengthens Greif’s Customized Polymer Solutions business and expands the company’s manufacturing presence in Spain, where it previously had a limited position in the small polymer packaging market. Envaplast primarily serves the agrochemical industry and has built a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and customer service.

The acquisition supports Greif’s disciplined strategy of pursuing growth-enabling bolt-on acquisitions that expand its presence in attractive markets while strengthening its leadership in advanced polymer technologies. Envaplast provides Greif with a strong foothold to accelerate its organic growth strategy across Europe, the Middle East and Africa while expanding its position in the agrochemical market, which represents the majority of Envaplast’s business. The company also aligns with Greif’s disciplined acquisition criteria, including strong profitability, cash generation, and exposure to resilient end markets.

“We are excited to welcome Envaplast to Greif,” said Ole Rosgaard, President and Chief Executive Officer of Greif. “Spain is an important market with strong long-term growth opportunities, particularly in agriculture. Envaplast gives us an outstanding platform to expand our small polymer packaging business across the region while bringing together two organizations that share a deep commitment to quality, innovation, and customer service. We are especially pleased to welcome the talented Envaplast team and look forward to building on the strong relationships they have established throughout Spain.”

Envaplast is a respected family-founded business whose proprietary technologies complement Greif’s existing portfolio of advanced polymer packaging solutions. The acquisition also strengthens Greif’s position in the agrochemical market while expanding manufacturing capacity and technical expertise in one of Europe’s most important agricultural regions. Together with the acquisition of Ipackchem, Envaplast further enhances Greif’s ability to serve customers across Europe with innovative, high-performance packaging solutions.

The Valencia-area operation will continue to be led by Joan Oriola Lledó, providing continuity for customers and employees while supporting the integration into Greif’s Customized Polymer Solutions business.
