- Grantmaking: The Greif Foundation provides grants to qualified non-profit organizations that align with the giving areas of education, health, and basic needs , supporting initiatives in Greif communities across the globe.
- Greif’s Colleague Matching Gift and Community Volunteer Match programs: These programs reflect our commitment to maintaining top-tier colleague engagement by pledging to match charitable contributions and volunteer service of Greif colleagues.
- Colleagues Helping Colleagues Fund: This program provides immediate financial assistance to colleagues facing personal hardship or an unforeseen disaster. The fund relies on support from the Greif Foundation and individual donations from colleagues.
- Colleague Engagement Days: These events give Greif colleagues the opportunity to participate in philanthropic events to support global communities while strengthening our culture and celebrating what it means to be part of Greif.

Most recently, we added two members from the EMEA region and plan to continue growing our global representation on the committee.
Our Corporate Philanthropy Policy outlines our commitment to using financial, natural, and human resources wisely without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs. To support this mission, Greif has identified educational, health, and social service organizations as priority areas for philanthropic engagement.

The Greif Foundation: Philanthropy and Engagement in Action

The partnership introduced the Greif Blocked Shots Platform, in which Greif pledges to donate $5 to the Blue Jackets Foundation for every shot blocked by a Blue Jackets defenseman or forward at all home and away games. More than $20,000 in contributions have been donated by the Greif Foundation through the Greif Blocked Shots Platform.

In 2024, Greif continued our longstanding partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC). The Greif Foundation funded the creation of the RMHC Greif Garden at the expanded Columbus Ronald McDonald House. The RMHC Greif Garden offers families a therapeutic and enriching experience where they can plant, grow, and harvest their own food during their stay.

In conjunction with the American Cancer Society, 格雷夫粉红日 is one of our largest colleague engagement initiatives. Each October, on Greif Goes Pink Day, 这 格雷夫 Foundation makes a donation to the American Cancer Society for every colleague who wears pink to work. Across many years of partnership, contributions from the Greif Foundation have significantly advanced health equity and cancer prevention efforts in global communities including Columbia, 印度 and Kenya.

For several years, Team Greif has participated as a global sub-peloton under the Simply Community banner. With support from across the globe, Pelotonia participation includes hundreds of Greif colleagues from different countries who have raised more than $300,000 for global cancer research.
