Our 2025 Sustainability Report
At Greif, sustainability is built in across our business. This report illustrates our commitment to pushing our industrial packaging beyond performance to performance that returns. The report highlights our continuous improvement on key sustainability initiatives, goals, achievements, and strategic context over an abbreviated period of 11 months, from November 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025.

2025 Sustainability Achievements
With a focus on business done right, progress through partnerships, and customized product solutions, we’re proud of the work we’re doing.
- Renewable sources generated 4,867 MWh of energy in 2025.
- We diverted 88% of waste from landfills in 2025.
- Our Life Cycle Services (LCS) network reconditioned or remanufactured more than 2.7 million containers, including 1.2 million IBCs and 367,000 plastic drums in 2025.
- Our EcoBalance™ Low Carbon Emission Steel (LCE) drums achieve a 60% cradle-to-gate carbon footprint reduction.
- Our Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) score of 92.4 demonstrates our commitment to customer service.
2030 Sustainability Goals
Zero Waste to Landfill
In 2025, we diverted 87.7% of waste from landfills. By 2030, we aim to meet UL Solutions’ Zero Waste to Landfill standard at 97% of our facilities.
Supply Chain Sustainability Assessment
By 2030, we aim to have 80% of our total supplier spend assessed for sustainability, up from 57% in 2025.

Our FY 2025 sustainability disclosures were prepared with reference to the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards and the SASB Standards Application Guidance. This report also serves as our United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) Communication on Progress (COP).
