A tragédia afetou gravemente diversas comunidades, e foi na comunidade Vila Farrapos, em Porto Alegre, que nasceu um movimento de reconstrução, reunindo empresas, voluntários e moradores com o objetivo comum de restaurar a dignidade e a esperança das famílias afetadas.
