After occasionally working for Volvo, Chris saw an opportunity to start at Greif.

“I originally started as a production worker and got to know the various production lines in the factory that way. Today, I’m a team leader in the Digital Printing department. This is our newest and also our most innovative department! What appeals to me most about Greif is the team spirit and its family-like atmosphere. Everyone knows each other by name and is approachable, even the plant manager.”

Amadou took a different path.

“My job as an ambulance driver was quite demanding, and I felt the need for a change. Not really knowing what I wanted to do exactly, I worked various day contracts through a temp agency at different companies. That’s how I ended up at Greif. I started as a spray booth operator and found it quite good. At one point, a vacancy for a greaser position came up, and it interested me. I applied and was eventually selected. What luck! I received a lot of support, and people were very patient in teaching me this job. At Greif, they take employees and their well-being into account. You feel good here as a person, and you don’t feel like just a number.”
