Greif Invites Customers to Annual Safety Conference

DELAWARE, OH – June 17, 2016 – Greif, Inc. (NYSE:GEF, GEF.B), a global leader in industrial packaging products and services, hosted its 9th annual Safety Conference in Dublin, Ohio on May 17 – 19, 2016.  This conference serves to give the leaders of Greif’s North American operations an opportunity to learn from distinguished speakers and engage in strategic sessions covering emerging topics that will enable them to promote an exceptional safety culture throughout all our facilities. 


Over 100 team members and customers connected with their peers to gain actionable insight from proven leaders.  Topics covered included how to properly prepare for an active shooter, strategies for root cause problem solving, preventing dock hazards and identifying and mitigating risks, and understanding human nature and why we put ourselves at risk.

Internally, the safety conference is now a required component of Greif’s GROW Safety Leadership and Development Academy, which all managers of people in operations must obtain within two years of starting their respective management positions.
