Sustainable Steel Drum Solution for Remote Locations

Greif’s Knock Down Drums (KDD) offer the optimal sustainable solution for transporting steel drums to remote locations.

Semi-finished drum parts are shipped and assembled locally on-site with minimum people and equipment. The unique concept allows transportation of up to 1,176 Knock Down Drums in a 20’ sea container compared to 80 full finished drums saving valuable space, optimizing transport costs, and minimizing your carbon footprint during longer transit times.

The 210 liters (55 gallons) tight head or open head plain drums are supplied welded, painted, knocked, and nested. Tops and bottoms are provided painted and ready to seam, and all parts are palletized and wrapped. Drums can then be assembled and tested locally by two or three operators with basic machines.

Drums are delivered directly to your filling station helping to improve efficiencies with minimum stock and less manual handling.

KDDs come with a wide range of specifications to choose from and various decoration options for branding and design.

KDD drums are made in Costa Rica, Portugal, and South Africa. Contact your account manager for more information or visit the KDD product page.
